Mani Singh's report of his visit to Mandothi on 1st. December 2009.

I visited Mandothi today. I took 20 sets of sweaters & shoes (school uniform) for the students of boys' school. These were distributed among the poor children from 6th to 12th class. During this distribution all the students and teachers were present and I told them about the scholarship program for students of 11th & 12th class who wanted to study further to do some technical course. And they can apply for this before March 2010. The interested students can inform their teacher or the Principal and we ll consider all such requests in March for the next year.

After this we went to the girls’ school in Mandothi where I met with a group of teachers including Ms. Anita who has been helping us very actively. She suggested that they will form a committee and identify such students who are intelligent but poor and would like to study further. They will inform us after Dec when they will also have results for the current semester. They will also talk to the parents of such children to ensure that they continue the study and do not abandon in between.

It seems that the idea we discussed in our last meeting will work well.
